The other thread is getting too big, with too many complaints. I would like to settle this here. I would like everyone's true opinion. I am not the final decider for this trade, it is a trade. Everyone has equal power in a trade.
Rays Trade: James Shields (11:$4.25M, 12:$7M club option ($2M buyout), 13:$9M club option ($1.5M buyout), 14:$12M club option ($1M buyout)
Rockies Trade: Drew Pomeranz (prospect) (300k) Darwin Barney (400k for 7 yrs)
I am split on this trade. I think it is fair, but with the hurricane, I want to let it pass, then others disagree. I honestly think some people are a little harsh on someone who just went through a hurricane. I'm gonna veto. A deadline is a deadline.
*This deal had to be agreed upon on Monday morning. I believe the hurricane passed New York by Sunday night/ Monday morning. If it was agreed upon Tuesday morning, the deal will have to be cancelled.*

if Rays says he was forced to post this deal late because of Irene, then i'm going to believe him. doesn't matter what time the hurricane hit, just matters when Rays got his power back to post this.

I wasn't gonna post this so this thread wouldn't turn out like the last one but screw it. In the other thread did rockies not say "he sent me a pm late Sunday/early Monday I accepted and posted"Monday PLEASE some correct me if that's wrong. Now a couple facts. 1) rockies didn't even post the trade 2) when rays finally posted the trade it was a little past 1pmcouple TUESDAY! now if the trade was truly agreed upon Monday by rays sending a message to rockies (who has had power this whole time) how was it not posted? So using a little common sense if the trade wasn't agreed to Monday and was posted Tuesday then it was probably agreed to Tuesday. That is so clear to me how is it not to anyone else? Ill try to spell it out even more.... think when you and a team agree to a trade do you not post it right away? This deal was posted Tuesday meaning it was agreed to tuesday

If that were true then Sam would of said that already and also if it were true why didn't you post it as soon as he said yes? Even if you had family over you would be on more than someone without power.

Sorry rockies. I just checked back on my PM, and the first PM you sent me about that trade was
"Is it official?
I would love to add my guys before tonight... didn't you say at the deadline you'd just vote once and it'd be done?
Thanks."
I replied
"I would like for it to have at least 2 or 3 votes. Sorry, if I was the only one to vote on it, it wouldnt be fair. I know you want them tonight, so I will let you add them to your roster. I'm assuming the trade will go by, but if it doesnt, I will make the change during tonights games, and the points from the players you got from that trade will be subtracted."
You never approached me with "Can I post a trade?" So this makes me want to veto now. Sorry. A deadline is a deadline. This league is free, it isn't that big of a deal.
*For my message to him, I said assuming the trade would pass when it had 2 approves and 0 vetoes. I let him add Shields then. I just subtracted James Shields points from the Rockies and took him off his roster and add Barney.
Alright. I hope this settles everything and everyone is okay.

Well congratulations Royals. You won the league. Good for you that all the people you traded with didn't have hurricane's out their front doors. If it had been any team but me, this would have been an approve, but this is all about competition.

I know, because it's definitely more important to win a free fantasy baseball league then to be sympathetic to hurricane victims.

Sam, i already put a little edit on your post. But I posted the trade and you approve it saying that it was okay because of the hurricane? Sorry, but I took that as saying yeah we can do this trade.... I don't know if it's just me, but that seems like a go ahead with it.

C'mon Chris, his team has three dominate aces on it. I have no chance in a championship against that. I was really close to acquiring a pitcher that gave me a shot, a hurricane hits and I can't get in contact with the guy... he sends me an offer ASAP on Monday morning, I accept and it gets posted. I don't know why there's no grace for a guy who lost internet because of a hurricane?
