1. Up to 3 years in length. We use the ranking system, look in the rules for that.
2. Yes.
3. Same ranking system, you may resign all of your arb players if you want. The deals are limited to 1 year

I'd like to clear some stuff up too because I'm not sure that even I understand the arbitration situation.
Prospects make $300K. When they begin to be on a real 40 man roster, they accumulate "service time" which adds up with every day they report to the team. When players get to 3.000 years of service time, they become eligible for arbitration.
What this means is that they are currently playing a lot (3 years of service) and need to be compensated more than the $300K they've been getting. An arbitrator will then decide how much the player is worth and the team will have to pay him that much. In our case we will use the ranking system instead of an arbitrator.
So if I have all this right, after 3 years of service time we have to pay our prospects based on how they rank. Players who rank in the top 50 will be arbitration eligible right away and have a preset salary. That should be it. Please let me know if there's anything missing there.

I am not sure with the last part. I will think about it then we will have a discussion tomorrow. This will not effect free agency, we will possibly delay Arbitration deadline if needed. No worries guys, this topic will be resolved quickly.

If I pick up an option does it count as 1 of the 3 extensions?

Well i would like to keep all those guys on my arb list,so do i post a new contract for all of them or are there certain ones that i need to do that for and then others i will do in later years. In simpler words, the whole arbitration concept is one of those things i just don't understand lol

After three years you must sign them to deals at the value they are ranked at.
