So what I will do then is find an owner with a great player, offer him an eighth rounder and then push it thru when no one is around. Since I know how the rules truly work in this league I will make sure I play by them exactly as the Mets and Red Sox have. @red Sox. Telling your friends who are also owners to come on and approve your deal? You really think your friends are going to rule against you?

Obviously there are strong feelings on both sides but the point here is that there is some doubt about the validity of this trade. I don't believe in vetoing a trade that may look one-sided. Judging talent is very subjective and the owner's long term plans must be taken into consideration. My concern here is that there is a wedge being driven and this group is splintering into different sides. No good! Might I suggest that both teams renegotiate another deal?

Yes I did then i'am sorry ... Ya I made picks for some teams Mets never did anything wrong. Mets helps me with drafts. When people sent lists, I forward them to him because either of us is always on. The Red Sox friends are Mariners, A's, and Reds. Havin them go on is a little lame, and this is yet another reason to have a trade committee. It would make trades go thru quicker, have none of the friend thing, have quality owners vote on it, and more. The final ruling on this trade is cancelled. Mets and Red Sox will either forget about trade or re-work.

Thats what I am saying DBacks. If Mets and Red Sox agree on a fair trade then I will be the first to say Approve but the adding of an 8th rounder is a slap in the face of the vetoes. Its like telling a kid not to jump off the couch, you come back in the room and they are jumping onto the couch, saying you never told us not to.

I will post it here. I offered Banuelos, Edwin Jackson, Tyler Chatwood and my No. 1 for Shields. If it makes you feel better I can add in an eighth rounder to even it out.

@yanks veto banuelos is questionable at 5'11'' and only 155 plus his BB/9 is above 5 hes only in AA, Chatwood has an era of 4.75, and Edwin Jackson(3.79/1.44/148/12-9) is worse than beckett(2.98/1.03/175/13-7) and I believe he asked you to look at my roster

Im not chiming in with my opinion just setting facts straight
Fact: banuelos is in aaa at the age of 20 Fact: chatwood was in his rookie season. Mlb starter at 21 is quite impressive Fact: jackson is like 11 mil cheaper than Beckett Opinion : (had to know it was coming) if I was trading shields I wouldn't want either if those two. Fir the record I don't think its a spectacular deal but seeing as how people actually value draft picks ut prob gets approved, first rounder pushes it over (not that I agree with that)

That was only a starting point and Most likely would of added more to my end. I may have even included Montero if the price was right.

I wasnt going to say anything but if thats the deal you are offering for Reyes Marlins, then Mets has a right to be pissed. JJ is not the be all end all of pitchers. if you are getting Reyes, it needs to be two position pieces some specs and a SP.
