Starting pitcher Brad Peacock was selected by the Washington Nationals in the 41st round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft out of Palm Beach Central High School in Wellington, Florida. Throughout his 2011 season playing for the Harrisburg Senators in the Double-A Eastern League, Peacock has indefinitely outplayed his 41st round selection.
Peacock's stats for the season right now are:
ERA: 2.33
W-L: 7-2
SO: 101
AVG: .180
Having pitched in 73.1 innings so far this season, 23-year-old Peacock has struck out 101 batters, which shows that on average he strikes out at least one batter per inning. When ranked against other Double-A starting pitchers, Peacock is rated in the top five for: Wins, WHIP, and AVG. If his ERA was just a hundredth of a place lower at 2.32, he would also be in the top five for that category. He currently has the second most strikeouts out of any pitcher in the entire minor leagues.
Before his 2011 season, Peacock was ranked by the prospect site Minor League Ball as the National's 16th best prospect. Judging by his outstanding performance so far this season, Peacock will probably at least be ranked in the top five by next season- that is, if he isn't called up to the major leagues before then.

I was asked by the commissioner, the Brewers/Sam, to start working on scouting reports on any prospect deserving recognition for play in the minor leagues. If anyone else would like to start posting reports, feel free to do so. However, remember these reports are detailed summaries of how the player has been performing, so make sure you take time to make your report has informative and easy to read as possible.
